A dry cave located in the Maya Mountain range of the Cayo District, Chechem Ha is one of Belize's premier caves to visit. Set high on the plateau of the ancient Macal River valley, Chechem Ha offers a unique experience to the archeology fanatic. Ancient altars, ceremonial rooms and artifacts undisturbed for the last 2000 years can be seen left behind by the Mayas that once occupied these sacred places. This is a ½ day tour but can easily be incorporated in to a full day. Must be physically active for this tour, you will also get dirty.

Take a relaxing float in your inflatable kayak into the underworld of the ancient Maya. Today you paddle a round trip float gazing at the gigantic flow stones, stalactites and stalagmites that naturally landscape the interior o this cavern. Your guide will take you on a fascinating archeological and geological tour of the cave. This is an all person friendly tour.

For the high adventure seeker, we recommend this tour! Today you will hike deep into the Belizean rainforest while also wading across rivers as we continue in search of Tunichil. At the entrance to the cave, you will be required to swim a short distance and continue wading in the river with water levels rising from ankle high to over your head. The rewards will come as a spiritual gift as you slowly begin to witness the sacrificial altars, humans, and the many artifacts and tools offered to the gods of the underworld. River Rat guides will take you 1500 years into the past as you learn the ancient Maya practices in this mystical place of darkness! Explorers should realize that they will be wet for several hours. Extra dry clothing is recommended for the tour.

Did you say you wanted to relax? Your choice is easy! Take our cave tubing tour to the Caves Branch region where you will take a lazy stroll through the jungle to the Jaguar Paw caverns. We lazily float down the lush jungle river and in to the caves for a refreshing float on your comfortable, fully geared tube. We will end up back where we started.
